Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure if its the same as the BGMR product or not (can't remember where I got them) but I have Battlegroup Modern Wargame Rules by Clarke and Jones. It does have mine rules, which I make sense to me from a reasonable man perspective but they don't really discuss how laying a field would be accomplished within a game. That's mostly what I'm after.

I've done a bit more research - they're not the same, but I think there is a connection between the people that wrote C2000 (who have both passed on) and thoise sorting out BGMR. The ones in Challenger 2000 are proably what you're after, but the rest of the rules are a bit painful.
