New spamming tactic

Post by tstockton »

Great... now the spammers are hitting specific posts, instead of posting "new" topics...

Spambusters -- look for posts by Joup8 -- they are not all in the Military Models Forum -- it looks like they hit three of the forums here.

I know the "spamming philosophy" -- if they fire off a million (literally) "spams" and get five or six hits, they consider it a "win". Kinda makes ya long for the old "frontier" way of handling characters such as this... you know, a tall tree and a short rope...

I figured out why they spam on forums.
To log in you have to lower your security to allow cookies to be made on your computer. If you are just browsing around many will maximize your browsers security and not allow that. They want you to link from a forum so they can write a cookie or trojan or active-x into your computer. So unless you know who the guy is on the forum posting a link don't link from the forum.
