T-34 found in lake

Post by Eric Harvey »

This T-34 was recently found and recovered from a lake. Notice that it has German markings (obviously captured at some point, not an uncommon event; more than a few T-34s were captured during the war).

Beyond that, notice the fantastic condition this puppy is in. Here is a real good idea of the proper 'color', which has been well-preserved by mud and cold [not salt] water.

I guess the moral of the story is that if you want your GHQ miniatures to stay well preserved, store them in cups of cold water and mud.

somewhere on youtube.com there is video footage of them dragging it out of the lake and then towing it along the road out of the forest... it's sickening how well preserved it is...
