Quick Airbrush Question

I feel like a lamer for having questions as my first two posts, but promise to write something more interesting shortly

Here's the compressor I have:

I plan on using it for harder tools as well, so I went over the top. It has a 1/4 inch NPT quick disconnect (female) from the regulator.

My airbrush is a Paasche internal mix double action and the air line connects to a compressor with a 1/4 inch NPT (female) but is NOT quick disconnect, so I can't hook it up to my compressor.

I think I have found the right part to do the conversion at Home Depot, but want to make sure I'm not goofing it up. Here's what I was going to be getting:

Will this do the trick? It looks like a male 1/4 inch threaded connection to a male 1/4 inch quick disconnect is what is needed.

that should work for what you want to do. the quick disconnects are VERY handy.

since you're using a regular compressor with an airbrush, you may also wish to consider a moisture trap- i bought the husky one at home depot for $12 to use with my brad nailer (keeping water out of tools is always a good thing). Lowe's also has one that has a chemical in the water filter that removes even more moisture, but it's not listed on their website that i can find.

I been thinking about getting an airbrush for painting my micro armor when I inquire at my local hobby stores they tell me..that there is not attachment that can paint effectively that small....ughh...

what do others suggest I use and such?

we have a real hobby store just they are not knowledgeable in this area is obvious....is there technical names of the attachments that do this fine detail?

another question....is any type of paint for an airbrush ok to use? I am assuming acrylics is the way to go always?
