Any word on M1A3? Here is one link, far fetched, but does appear to be on a carrier. Interesting slates and cupola....turret just above the ammo. Is this mock-up for a movie or digital imaging?

M1A3?

Post by groundlber »

This is a cool looking vehicle, however the cupola appears centered over the ammo bins. That's a lot of re-design and re-working, to say nothing of losing the blow off panels on the ammo bins. My first thought is that it's either a mock-up and /or a prop for a movie. On the other hand, the US military has fielded some weirder looking vehicles. The Ontos comes to mind.

its kinda funny that the guys on the Mercenaries site think its an actual abrams. definately a movie prop. even the turret placement is moved back.

I am pretty sure that is a movie prop. I believe it is from triple X: state of the union. Where their fighting in and on the Aircraft carrier. I recognize the cupala turret.
