BMP-4/BTR-T

Post by jb »

I understand there is a vehicle series of BMP-4 or BTR-T. From what I have gathered , it is a T-55 hull. I really don't know if it is in service or even produced. I can't find pictures of it, if it is. Can anybody shed some info on this subject?
Thanks
John

Near as I can tell, I saw one picture of it in an older Janes Tanks Recognition Guide, I think it was the third edition. From what I remember it is a heavy engineering vehicle, designed for sappers and combat engineers, the Israeli Achzarit (GHQ #IS 10) should suffice nicely for the Russian vehicle; I think they look identical. Hope this helps.
