Hard to Find Tank Books

Post by DrBig »

There's a military bookseller 'Portrayal Press' who has most of the inventory in a catalog only; not online, although they do have a website www.protrayal.com.

I'd recommend you get their catalog as I have found some really nifty items in it. Things that have been long gone. PP still has inventory of the old "Tanks Illustrated" line, with #5,7,13,14,15,18,20,22 & 23 still in the catalog. I myself picked up #14 "Tank War Korea" by Simon Dunstan & it's a real gem. Lot's of new photos, excellent captioning, & as you might expect of the author, lots of Centurion coverage. Of particular note is an emphasis placed on their participation in the Gloster Hill battle, & photos of the Cents riding into battle, & the wrecks after the battle.

There are other goodies in the catalog too like old Concords which are extrmemely hard to find.

PP doesn't sell used books, but they do adjust the price of the oop's for current market value.
