So my esoteric tastes have led me to painting up WW2 GMD (Nationalist Chinese) in 6mm, going to focus on 1937-1939. Infantry is the main part of the force, and is not a problem as I can take the Afrika Korps pack and paint in Chinese colors (khaki for summer uniform or light blue for winter - sure the packs and water bottles aren't accurate but what the heck, this is good enough for my eyes until GHQ comes to it's senses and provides a line for the fifth strongest power at the end of WW2 ).
Anyway, I'm thinking of giving them some armour support. The most common types outside of Burma were Italian tankettes, Soviet T26s and a small number of German Mark1s and armoured cars. The problem is what the heck colours to paint them in. Does anyone out there know if the Chinese followed the same practice as with aircraft i.e. leave them in the colour they came in from the manufacturer? All I can find on the net are poor quality B/W photos.
