MSH Combat Team stats with other rules...

Post by dougeagle »

I fellow gamer has his moderns based for MSH, thus having combat teams instead of the standard IFV and infantry being separate. Thus we are trying to figure out how to use the CT with FFT2, GHQ and other rules and was wondering if anyone has any ideas.

A goal is not always meant to be reached, it often serves simply as something to aim at.

I base all my infantry on 1"X1" stands. In this way they are ready
for other ruleset basing. For SH & MSH I have Vinyl magnets that are
1.25"X1.25"(sprayed earth tone colors) that attach to the bottom of
my steel based infantry, this now makes them SH&MSH "legal", and
still look great.
Now for the CTs my infantry are based with the infantry leaving
enough room on the base for a vehicle. This vehicle in turn has a
Neoph?? magnet attached (glued) to the bottom. Now picture the
vehicle being placed in the spot amongst the infantry. The magnet is
strong enough to attach to the infantry base even with flocking ,and
looks great. If you want to "dismount", take off the vehicle...

Interesting. I'm sure that I have seen that done before years ago with a gaming group that I occasionally attended when I live back in Calgary. On the other hand, the fellow gamer has no intentions of reworking his basing either...good idea on your part though. :D

However, I should have made the title and message more clear ...when using MSH style basing, how would the stats be when using other rules, such as GHQ for the Combat Teams?
