Jean Restayn's book

Post by DrBig »

This hasn't been out more than a few months, so many of you may not know that Jean Restayn just did a 2nd edition to his very successful book on WW2 tanks.

May 1, the price will go up due to the low dollar vs Euro

I got this from Squadron.com a couple months ago. It is a pretty good book, but I don't know if it was worth the $80 I paid for it. It was touted as having 1/72 scale drawings of the tanks, but it does not.

Also, it only covers "tanks." No tankettes, SP guns, armored cars, or tank destroyers. There's about 40 illustrations of Tigers, but nary a Hetzer or StuG to be found. You'll have to wait for the other volumes for that.

Thanks for passing along the link. This site is much cheaper than Squadron.
I wish I had something witty to say...
