True about mobility. But heavy armor is mobility when talking about the assets that are used to transport the "TEAM". The Team is over 2000 Marines, 1 Tank platoon (minimum), other light armor, AAVs, Helos of all types, and aircraft of all types to encounter any type of threat-ground-air-surface-undersurface.We already have the LHDs,LPDs,and LSDs which are designed to work together in these 3 ship groups, minimum. This gives 6 LCACs and dozens of more vessels that are able to transport "heavy" equipment...

This is true but I would look at it rather as the whole team as being the "big Hammer" . All assets of the team have there place, this is what makes the USMC unique. If armor is not needed it stays aboard, if it is then it is there to be used.
As in our Solomons campaign, Google the islands, there are very very few venues for armor. Now look at Honaira, you would be a fired marine commander if you left your armor aboard with the mission of taking the port and airfield. This port city is most assured of being assaulted and this fact is known to all. I look at this port as a miniature Mogadishu, we all saw what happened to highly mobile elite troops without armor...
