I'd like to see 3/4" Terrain Maker hexes

Post by saxophone »

Terrain Maker hexes come in thicknesses of 1/4", 1/2", 1", and 1-1/2". I realize that I may be the only person who feels this way, but I would like to see hexes with a thickness of 3/4". Yes, I now I can glue a 1/4" and 1/2" hex together, but it would save me some bother if I didn't have to do that.

Why 3/4"? Well, I have a whole bunch of Geo Hex pieces which are 3/4" thick. It would be handy if I could mix the two on my board. That's all.

I'd rather see them come out with all sides even. I thought this was just a problem with hexes I bought off ebay that were from the 1990s, but it turned out to also be the case with some new stock I bought from a game store about 18 months ago.

I agree. I would also like to see them make hexes where the sides are more even. This is another reason why I don't like gluing 1/2" and 1/4" hexes to make 3/4" thick hexes. The uneven sides means the resulting 3/4" thick hexes have shelves on them.
