Red Army Unit Organization
Can anyone recommend a good reference on Red Army unit organization? I'm looking at an overview as a prelude to more detailed research for a mid- late war micro armor project...

The book Soviet Army Handbook by Zaloga is very good on WW2 Soviets. Nafziger do a whole series of books on the Soviet army in WW2.
The MicroMark range of army lists have very detailed charts covering 1939-1989 on the Soviet army, they are available on the Blitzkrieg Commander site (** CENSORED ** Military Publishing Ltd)

TO&E for russians
Here is a link for TO&Es that you may find interesting.
http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/TOa ... =223498912
or you can use this one:

or this one, which is also very good:

There is a book that was produced by the Headquarters, Department of the Army. My copy is June 1991 titled The Soviet Army: Troops, Organization and Equipment, FM 100-2-3. I am sure that there are newer copies even though the President Mikhail Gorbachev told General Colin Powell that the US would have to find another enemy, they were not going to be the enemy any more.
Hope that this info is helpful to you.
