I thought I'd have a go at trying to start some new threads.
Here is my first one.
Put pen to paper and show us those new models when they come out,
Individual Hungarian Infantrymen
GHQ Stock # H8
Individual Hungarian Heavy Weapons
GHQ Stock # H9
I ordered these from GHQ USA as soon as they where released.
My Austrian army is finished except for the infantry.
I love the Austrian equipment. They have their own very unique armour as well as German stuff and some unusual bits like Italian CV tankettes.
They have some of the best armour colours as well.
But back to the infantry.
H8 Hungarain infantry
The castings are very precise with no join marks on the helmets and a very small amount of flash to remove.
The figures are reworked from the German infantry packs.
They are portayed with Austrian backpacks and webbing one figure has a cloak, which turns out to be a half shelter which were made from camo material.
The figures are easy to manipulate and a little twisting and bending can give you a whole load of slighlty different poses.

contents:
8 sprues with 74 figures.
6 ammunition carriers
4 advancing 8mm solothurn/Mg34 LMG
12 riflemen with half shelter cloak

9 standing firing riflemen
9 grenade throwers with rifle
2 standing pointing officers

Individual Hungarian Heavy Weapons H9

8 sprues with 104 figures.
12 prone light mortar teams.
16 prone 8mm solothurn/Mg34 LMG
6 prone Solothurn S-18/1000 20 mm Anti-Tank Rifle
24! 7/31m HMG teams
2 standing pointing officers
3 kneeling nco with SMG
5 prone with binoculars
The anti-tank rifle is massive I looked it up and apparently is the same weapon as the Csaba armoured car!

All in all very pleased some very nice figures with a different feel to the standard wehrmacht infantry.
Great castings, no 81mm mortar ( the only guys that GHQ seem to give these to are the Eighth army!).
And that horrible standing bolt upright firing figure that I wish would GHQ would stop using(not shown on this picture).

2 packs and Osprey's The Hungarian Army in World War II is probably all you need to get going.

I'll post some pictures of the finished items ASAP.
Chris,
