MODERN SPEARHEAD: Soviet Union Tank & Motor Rifle Divisi

Post by exsubguy »

Hello everyone, I am having a hard time with the TO&E of the Soviet Union.
I know, I know that there has been thousands of articals about this, but my ? is a hypothetical one.... What if the USSR never folded and had plenty of $$.
Using all of the modern stuff out there ( NATO included ) that you would find in all the latest journals, Jane's, Global Security, etc .

How would the force ratio's differ from say from: SOVIET MOTORIZED RIFLE DIVISION: 1985-1991, and a SOVIET TANK DIVISION: 1985-1991 futher more as there has been new equipment ie: T-90's in large #'s, BMPT's, BMP-3's, T-80UM1 Bars, 2S19 MSTA-S in large #'s, 9K58 Smerch, BTR-T's, Tor SA-15, etc. This is the best way i can think of to voice my ideas is there anyone out there that can come up with a to&e for me
 :?:
THANK YOU VERY MUCH
Sencerly

One way to come up the TO&Es for the Russians is to use the US Military manual: FM 100-2-3 titled: The Soviet Army: Troops, Organization and Equipment from June 1991.

Also go to http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/TOandEs/

Which will provide helpful info.
