If any one is interested they can PM me for a Google earth file which has these images overlayed. I also have a copy of the original map used by the Australians during their assault in January 1941, a copy of the artillery plan for that morning and various hand drawn recon and assault plans and sketches to overlay.

R 77 in Google Earth

R77 is ringed in blue in the center (Ish) of the map.
This has been an ongoing project for the last six months or so, and bits are still be added as they come to light. I am happy to sure with anyone who is interested. I think I'll move on to the D-Day landings next.
Anyway all that sand reference made me finally put brush to metal again and here are a couple of WiP pictures of the results. Still need to add figures and scrub, and have been thinking of putting a camo net over the 88.

Added curtains to the "door" openings from some cigarette rolling paper, and textured the roof, probably with a different type of rolling paper

An 88mm, but we all know that don't we!

The driver will be hanging out of the side getting directions from someone on the ground and I'll have to try to fit the flap around him.

Yes, the 88 is out of focus because it took me ages to build that wall with tweezers! Humour me!
Cheers all
Matt
