Painting modern US Infantry "need some advice"

Here are some pictures of my Vietnam soldiers

I am working also on painting a modern desert US army and a cold war 1980â€™s woodland army.

I just am wondering what colors I should use on their gear for the wood land gear and what colors for the gear on the modern desert US soldierâ€™s gear.

Or if anyone has close up of their painted modern desert US troops showing the details clearly that would really help and the gear on their woodland soldiers.

I had my gear on my test desert troops painted a light camo brown but was not sure if this was correct color to use.

come on guys someone help me out with my question in my first post. I just need to know what color I should paint the gear on my modern desert infantry I am also working on.

Hi,
my 2 (euro)cents on this : a green such GHQ Modern helicopter green or a Brown khaki (by a well known Spanish brand)would be, IMO, OK for the desert uniform.
I'd choose the best contrasting colour in all cases.

P.S. nice US Vietnam soldiers : which (khaki) green did you use here ?
