They failed........miserably. And all the god terrain features were full of Bradleys hiding from the tanks too.
It created and interesting series of tactics. US forces have to rush to close with Russian tanks and Russian tanks try to stand off and shoot from long range. Opposite of what you would expect....

Hmm thanx for the feedback.
I think I will just start out with GHQ Rulebook first and then proceed on to CWC wen i really have gotten familiar with GHQ and would like to actually explore other areas.
Really appreciate all of your takes on the gaming system.
GHQ here I go!

A good choice, I'm sure you will enjoy the game.

There is a member of the forum named Mobius that has a set of modern rules up on his website. The site is called panzerwars.com I think.
Anyway they are FREE so no matter what, they will be worth everything you paid for them. I think they are 1:1 but don't remember for sure. Just that they are FREE!
If you go to the member list sorted by join date he is on the first page the link to his site is there.

We have someone down from Oklahoma so we will be hosting a wargame this weekend using the Cold Steel rules that were used at this year's Texicon convention in May.
Anyone in the Dallas area or otherwise is welcome to join us!
Voltigeur is familiar with the system and is a great gamer to game with.
This is an open invitation. If interested contact me at 214-769-7464 or email me at zaevor2000@yahoo.com.
Minis of course will be GHQ!...to this day still the most beautiful microarmor I have ever laid eyes on...

Why, in my day, we didn't have counters. We had to paint the unit values onto little rocks. maps?! Hah! We had no paper maps! We put our rocks in the dirt. It sucked when it rained, but we soldiered on!!! Don't get me started on dice...
