GHQ WWII Game at the Whiz in Westbourgh, MA Nov 13

Post by WargameHub »

On November 13th I will be running a GHQ WWII Microarmour demo game at the Whiz. This is the game I ran at Historicon 2010 and find it’s a quick easy way to try out the rule set.

Kursk 1943 - Operation Kutuzov
Operation Zitadelle is a failure...Soviet forces are now on the counterattack in the north. The remaining German armor in the 2nd Panzer Army must stop the Russian breakthrough. It will be on a 4x4 board using only armor.

Russian Mission: Get 1/3 of your total stands off the German edge to continue the attack while destroying 3 Tiger stands and 3 of any other stand.

German Mission: Hold the line! (don’t let the Russians win)

Players: up to 6 (4 Russian, 2 German)
Time: 10:00 – 14:00 on November 13th
Location: The Whiz
Ground Scale: 1â€￾ = 100 yards
Time Scale: 1 turn = 2 minutes
Miniature Scale: 1 stand = 1 platoon

You don’t need to bring anything unless you have 2 lucky d6 and 1 lucky d20 (that’s all the dice a player needs).

I will bring some additional miniatures in case we have extra time.
