I ordered some 'modern' ships in 1/2400

Maestrale
This is a Frosted Ultra Detail model. I had to prime it to be able to photograph it as the
material is semi-transparent. It's also extremely light in weight, I plan to epoxy some
lead flash into the bottom (they are hollow).
The material seems relatively tough. The primer brought out details you can't really see,
such as the layering that the printer does as it builds the model. Some of the photos
show that much more.

You can see the mast didn't print and there is a lot more rough areas on the models.
Reading their forum implies it's a wax used as part of the casting... er printing process.
I tried, not on this model as it's a friends, to scrape it off. meh. Still it's hard to see in
real life.

Talwar
You can really see the layering show in the primer here. This model showed much
more layering effect. In fact either this one or the other of the pair failed. They asked
me what I wanted to do and I said reprint. They lost my reply and, when they found it
(couple of days) they decided to ship all of it and reprint the failed Talwars. If it takes
this long it should be about 3 to 4 weeks before I receive the reprinted Talwars.
