Micro Armour: The Game Model List

I’m posting a file called “WWII MicroArmour: The Game - Weapons List and Model Guideâ€￾ on my yahoo group known as MATG2012.

It’s in Microsoft Excel version 97-2003 and is a list of all the weapons I’m going to get (or in most cases already have) stats for in the game rules GHQ publishes today. Please note I am not publishing the stats yet, just the model guide. The Model Guide is a list of GHQ model numbers for those weapons. In the cases that GHQ doesn’t make a model of the item but in my opinion has a close visual approximation, I’ve listed those in parentheses (). Where they don’t have something close and I’ve had time to do a little hunting I’ve listed other supplier’s model numbers in another column.

I’ll be the first to admit I’m no expert or degree carrying historian, so my data so far has some missing information as well as an inaccuracy or two (or three). So I’m asking for others help with this project. First in checking the weapons lists themselves for anything that you feel should be represented in the Platoon Scale game set but isn’t on the list now. As well as Model suggestions for GHQ kits (I haven’t even started the Japanese yet) and other brands of models in our chosen scale where appropriate.

My goal in this project is simple – to provide MATG players, and anyone else who cares to look, with a 1/285, 1/300, 6mm model resource for WWII weapons and accessories. Perhaps in the long run GHQ may even wish to post it on their site (sans the other vendor’s model references of course) for MATG players to download directly. But it’s not ready for that just yet.

So if you are interested in helping or just want the file as it is today, check out the yahoo group MATG2012 and then click on the files section. It will be updated on a fairly regular basis until I'm really happy with its contents.
