Note to GHQ
Hey guys n gals, overall you guys do a fantastic job, but I do have one little issue. Why don't you guys put the color pictures of the ASSEMBLED and PAINTED models in the new items section anymore...I know it says you will when they become available but it's been a looooong time now on some of those models. I used those pics as reference for assembling and to a lesser extent, painting the new stuff when it came out. Frankly, those pictures of the parts, bare metal, on sprues, is rather tacky and something I would expect from some of your inferior competitors. It's just one of the "little" things that seperates GHQ from them and makes you guys the leaders in the industry...if you start sliding here, I wonder what might be next. There, I got that off my chest, lol, keep up the otherwise good work.

Note to GHQ
Hi Intruder 523 and the rest of the Gang here on the GHQ Forum
I do understand your concern and as an "insider" I hope I can shed some light as to what is going on here.
I have had a bunch of my work appear here on the GHQ website and in their catalog for quite a while now. I know that has been true for the last 12 years or more, the exact date escapes me right now. Prior to the time GHQ started posting pictures of painted models in their catalog and on their website, the pictures of the models were done in black and white and of assembled and primed but not painted models. It was around 2000 or about that GHQ decided that painted models would offer an even better presentation for their really fine models.
It was around 2000 or so that I was contacted by GHQ to help them with the new Combat Command boxes and my friend Dale, aka Begemot, and I actually helped design the format which showed the unit in a parade ground kind of arrangement as if the unit were arrayed as for inspection. At about the same time they were also looking for pictures of painted items in color for the individual packs as well. The whole catalog and packaging system was getting a makeover so to speak from black and white to a full color extravaganza. I have supplied a fair number of pictures of my stuff for the catalog as have Cama, Troy Ritter, Tanner, and Jim Moffett when he was wiith the company.
Over the next several years, I supplied GHQ with pictures of my work to help fill in some of the gaps of unpainted items to provide them with as many painted items for the catalog as possible.
It was last year that I was contacted by Greg Scott to actually start doing regular painting for the new items. I have been the reguar painter guy for GHQ for the last year and a half so all the painted items from October 2010 until the present.
I am not a "professional" painter, in other words I don't do this for a living. I run a used bookstore at Luke AFB in the Phoenix area so that is my full time job. The stuff I do for GHQ is in my spare time so I can usually only put in about six to twelve hours of painting a week. I do endeavor to try to have nicely painted things as well as being reasonably accurate as much possible. Right now I am a bit behind on things due to some real world things that do happen. I am trying to get these October and December releases done as soon as I am able so I ask for a bit of patience. I do have a few earlier releases still not quite finished and will get those out as time permits.
I hope you like the items that have been in the catalog and on the website that I have done and I hope this helps to explain things a bit as to some of the background to this.
Have a great day!

Thank you for the info.
I would also like to add my thanks to Pete and everybody that has and continues to contribute in that way...says volumes that we miss it so much when it goes away for whatever reason. I agree with the comments about Jim being gone too, btw. I used to look forward to spending my money up there (still do) because of the many friendly and interesting conversations I used to have with Jim over the years, he always had time to answer my questions. Nichole seems to be a good replacement...I'm still adjusting to the change, lol.

A Note to GHQ
Hi Intruder
Thanks very much for you appreciation of all of us that have contributed to the GHQ catalog over the years.
GHQ just posted the pictures of the Bradley, Mobelwagen, Jagdpanzer E-75, Ferret Mk II, Universal Carrier and hopefully the Bouclier will get posted soon.
I am currently trying to finish the next group of items. I have completed the German Granetwerfer, and am working on completing the Duke of Edinburgh, Courbet, and Bretagne. I am hoping to be able to get these out to GHQ later this week if time permits. If I do, they should get posted next week.
I received the February and and remaining couple of December releases last week. I will be putting these into the que next week while trying to finish up some of the other items I have already started.
If you or anyone else would like me to post periodic updates on the forum on my progress, I will be happy to do that. Just let me know.
Have a great day!
