I guess we now have artistic license to add extra camouflage to our tanks.

Fantastic for models but not very effective on an open ground like that, without underbrush.

They seem just bushes moving in the open.

You're right of course, any kind of movement is going to catch your eye. But when they are stationary, 200 or maybe 300 meters away...

Even stationary they are maked only if are near a tree whose foliage touch the ground.

In all other case their shape would be too evident as there are no similar mass of foliage.
A flat and dry stubbled ground like that is the worst to hide even stationary.

In anycase it is a mobility show and not a tactical exercise. It was for the public (behind the red line) which probably expected to see the tank covered with branches and foliage.

Thanks for sharing that video.

When the camera is zoomed out to wide angle, the vehicles are stationary long enough for the dust and exhaust to dissipate, the camo is pretty effective. As long as they are lying in ambush it would probably work pretty well until the shooting started.

It works only for the vehicle near the full foliage tree.

If you look at 0.45 minute you can see two vehcles. The one o the right mix well with the tree whose foliage touch the ground but the shape of the one on the left is clearly visible near the tree with a visibe trunk as there is no foliage to mix with.

The vehicle on the left is zoomed in at minute 1.45

The camo may assist in not detecting the vehicle or may prevent the identification of the type of vehicle. The thermal signature would still be able to be detected, although it may be reduced to some degree, a hot hull/turret is still hot sitting in the sun all day. At 400 yards in a tree line or perhaps even some bushes next to or in front of some of these AFVs may prevent detection.
I will have to see if I can post some other pics of similar camo with terrain features that would cause the vehicle to blend in.
