I'm curious if anyone has done any experimentation with the GHQ rules for moderns with a change to the ground scale. I noticed that other rules sets propose using 1 cm instead of 1 inch for 100 meters. Upon thinking about it I realized that this matches the frontage for an infantry company better (roughly 800m - 1 km) and would allow for larger battlefields to be handled.

What I'm wondering is the side effects. If anyone has tried this I'd be very interested in what you experienced.

Waddell,

I have done the inches to cm in many of my battles. We use 1:1 and this helped to limit the range on battlefield weapons and make the map bigger. I have not had any issues with it at all.
