Using modern stuff but using micro squad rules
I got into this because I wanted to play more along the lines of micro squad rues, but there don't seem to be any for the modern stuff. Does anyone know good way to convert the modern stuff so I can use it in the micro squad format, and yes I don't have that book.

Hi Alpha 11
First please forgive me for taking so long to reply to your question.
If you have the Modern microarmour rules (for the weapon stats) and Microsquad for the scale you can convert modern stats to squad scale using the following formulas:
Range: modern rule ranges can simply be calc'ed to squad scale by multiplying them by 4 as 1 inch in moderns = 100m while in the squad rules 1" = 25m.
Movement points: 'Modern' turns are 3x as long as 'sqaud' turns and distances are 4 times longer SO formula is
(Modern Movement Points (M,MPs) x4)/3 rounded down = squad MP's (S,MP)
Example:
M,MP = 10
10*4 = 40
40/3 = 13.3
round down = 13 S,MP
Some numbers need a bit of 'judicious' rounding (e.g. 5, 8, 11, 14 etc). when the rounded number results in a remainder .5 and higher you can round the 'MP' value up or down. I would suggest you round down in the case of wheeled vehicles and up in the case of tracked vehicles.
This will not result in 'really accurate' movement rates, but its functional.
