An interesting list of ships. Not enough, but then there never are. The Duguay-Trouin, Chatham and Devonshire are on my "12 most wanted" list, which is nice. The Taiyos are six months or so too late; I just finished painting camouflage patterns on three Shapeways Taiyos a month or two ago; they're too complicated for me to want to do them over again (particularly when I have over 300 ships - mostly DDs - yet to paint). I've had CinC Fubukis for decades; probably won't buy the new ones (even though they are likely better detailed). Three of the four WWI cruisers are on my "Jutland" want list, and I'm thinking that I might be able to kit-bash two more "Jutland" cruiser classes from those.

My main British Fleet reference book ("The fighting ship of the Royal Navy") suggests that the Chatham and Birmingham classes were very similar. (It's too bad that GHQ isn't producing both this year; it seems to me that it would be easy to do the Birmingham at the same time as the Chatham.) The Birmingham class has one more 6" cannon - apparently two spaced side-by-side on the bow, and the bow shapes might be different, although some photos on the internet suggest that they are similar. If GHQ's model has the Chatham 'cleaver' style bow shown in my reference, it could easily be filed down to look like the Birmingham style bow. The Chathams could also be "kit-bashed" to redesign the bow 6"ers - I would take the easy way out & buy some extra models and cut off the 6" guns I need.

Is anybody aware of anything else that would be needed to convert Chathams to Birminghams? Are the Birmingham bow 6"ers side-by-side, or they offset? (Some of the photos on the internet look like they are offset, but those may just be the photo angle.)

I have my eye on another possible kit-bashing project. Could the Karlsruhe be modified to make a reasonable Regensberg for Jutland? My reference book indicates that there is an 18 foot difference in length, but the armament is about the same ( in number, at least). The Regensberg has only three funnels, versus four for the Karlsruhe. That might be an easy modification, particularly if the new model has the same separate insert for the funnel/bridge block that GHO's recent Stuttgart class models have.

Everybody needs to buy lots of Duguay-Trouin cruisers (I want three) so GHQ will produce the Duquesne CAs soon!!!

Incidentally, someone up above on this string ("33 years", I think) noted that his kids were out of college, so he could buy lots of stuff. Be quick, though; before long the kids may start having grandchildren. And the grandchildren may need help in paying for college also. My three granddaughters are closing in on that age, and my schoolteacher daughter may need help in putting them through college.

Yes they did. Not many, and most listed as MkIII's were the ones with the AEC turret, but they had the Crusader turret version too.

Great list once again and its good to see gaps in ranges being filled slowly. Not a lot for me and I was hoping for some Cold war infantry.

I wonder if the CV9030 will be a more vanilla version without all the reactive armour?

I know it sounds like I am whining.

Why make another T90 and T72M1 just for India. The existing models released years ago of the remake of the T72M1 that replaced the T74 of old casting. Is already better. After looking over what photos I found over the net. T90 and the T72M1 that India uses do not have any differences in detail from the models GHQ already makes. GHQ should have made a modification add on pack to add mine plows, dozer blades, mine rollers and mine clear line charges to add on to the existing castings. More engineering models would be better.

GHQ should have made the Arjun mk1 or mk2 mbt for india. Or for Pakistan Type 85 / MBT2000 Al-Khalid mbt.

Personally I would like to see created the Marine Corps AH1Z Viper and Huey advance troop helo.

I'm looking forward to seeing the new Russian Tank riders. Hopefully they'll fit on T-34 and IS-2 model chassis.

I was hoping for the ML-20 and a heavy tractor. Oh well just have to put it on the things I'd like to see 2017 list.

Nice Korean war kits - M41 HMC and M51 4x 50cal trailer.

Nice additions for the modern Italian collector GHQ!

Well I wont feel too bad adding the Russian Tu-2 to the 'want list' if GHQ is going to do the German Do-17.

I imagine the Vietnam collectors will like the a-37 dragonfly and the M102 howitzer.

I was surprised GHQ will do the Puegot P-4 as its just a French made Mercedes Gelandenwagen, I wonder what they'll do to make it look different from existing kits.

I wonder what modern vs wwII sales are like at GHQ?

Thanks for the cool models GHQ!

So the two Hotchkiss listed were a mistake. They will be replaced by a JS-III re-do and by the Leichte Landungstrager SdKfz 303 (the larger version of the Goliath).
