Computer server failure at GHQ

Post by GHQ »

Hi,

Unfortunately we want to let everyone know that we have had a computer server equipment failure here at GHQ. It has hampered our ability to process orders for 2 weeks. We had two local people look at it, and finally have one of the top data recovery forensic companies in the country working on it. Running through the 3 different sets of people has burned a lot of time. We haven't said anything up until now because we keep being told that there may be new news any minute. At this point we do have a fall back position that isn't great, but we will be back processing orders with it.

We want everyone to know that this is 100% an equipment failure, there is nothing that was hacked.

We apologize for any inconvenience, please believe that there is no one who is more frustrated about this than we are here at GHQ.

Thank you for your support,
GHQ

Hopefully you will get it resolved in time for us to place plenty of orders prior to the pending price increase. :D

Can you give us some kind of timeline? Are we talking about a few more days, or a week or more? I have my email confirmation of my order, do you need us to forward them back to you?

Thanks for your understanding! Don't worry, no orders have been lost. They are all stored on a remote website hosting server. We have a back up plan that isn't great, but gets us back to running orders- the downside is that we would definitely lose some data. Regardless, we will be running orders in the next few days. Once again, don't worry, no orders have been lost.

Back up, back up, back up is great advice. We thought that we were backing up, and then backing up, but apparently things weren't set up as we had asked for them to be, so we were just backing up, and that is what has stopped working. We want to reassure everyone that this is 100% an equi9pment failure, there was no hacking.

Thank you!

I just received notification from FedEx that a shipment is on the way from GHQ. I placed the order June 06. Perhaps this means that the server problem has been overcome and others will begin getting their orders.
