What Happened To The Forum?

Post by Begemot »

Anyone know what happened to the forum these past five days? Beside it being down with some database issue?

I don't know what caused it, but this was one of the longest weekends I have endured for a long time. Than goodness the forum is back up again.

It's ok it's ok....everything's fine now... No need to picnic... I mean panic!

Sorry guys! The company that hosts our website was working on our forum issue, and fortunately got it worked out. It was tough because we couldn't post a quick note to tell you that they were working on it.

Thanks for hanging in there!

If issues arise again and the forum is down for an extended (> 1 day) time I suggest you consider posting a note to TMP and/or other miniatures forums to inform users. I recall seeing a member query on TMP several days ago that went unanswered, at least when I last checked the posting, by GHQ or someone in the know. Again, just a suggestion and hopefully the GHQ forum situation has stabilized.

On the positive side the forum seems to run faster

It does seem to run faster. Have you considered using Facebook to post news of the outage when this sort of thing happens?

Those are great suggestions! We will keep those in mind if something happens again. Hopefully we won't have to use your suggestions.
