1/2400 Deck Decal Sale and end of line announcement

Post by 33YearsGHQ »

Guys, my line of 1/2400 deck decals will cease production soon. Between my time commitments at work and home it is not feasible to continue producing and selling them. In addition, they are a money loser for me. Not saying I will never offer them up again, but it will be awhile and in a much scaled down form (far less of an offering).

The good news is I will offer my complete inventory (182 different sets) from now until January 3rd, 2016. In addition, I currently am offering these at 20% off (through December 20th only) and providing free shipping in the USA. For overseas customers, I do combine items for shipping purposes and it is relatively inexpensive to ship them to you,

If Brad is going to cease production I think that G.H.Q. really should pick these up and run with them. They are a fantastic resource and should not be allowed to sink into oblivion. Even with over forty years of modelling experience I could not paint a deck as good as one of these decals. Thanks Brad and Tanner, a good job well done.

I'm very happy to see the sentiment on these decals and how useful they've been. Brad has done a tremendous job making these available and I am sad to see them cease ... but I certainly uderstand the reasoning.

Great job making them available for as long as you have Brad!

Everyone else, get them while you can :D

How about putting these into the Public Domain? Beethoven is there, so they'll be in good company.

I am sad to hear this wonderful work has now come to an end. I also understand how difficult it is to run the business since the scale of sales is obviously not sustainable as a full time job. It's gonna be a great loss to the hobby if G.H.Q. or some other businesses are not picking up and make these decal available to all. Would people mind to pay an extra cost on top while each Micronaut pack being included with the necessary decal(s)? Now that decals are given in some of the bigger and more expensive aircraft carrier sets but that is not available for whenever ships are having flight decks. That is a big value added item and that ends up saving everyone much time and costs having to get it from other source.

Just a reminder, six days left in the 20% off sale (though the decals will be available for around three more weeks).
