More Team Yankee progress....

Post by Extra Crispy »

I have begun adding the road network to my Team Yankee table. They are just printed out on card stock. I make the bends by cutting them at an angle and taping together. You don't get "rounded" bends but I think it's certainly passable.

Here is a shot f the table from the Soviet end. Lots of little "bits" to add. Another hamlet, some fences and a bunch of assorted trees. I might also add some roads in between the fields.

Here is a shot of the Soviet forces. Two companies of T72s, one of BMPs and a few support companies. The counters are from StrikeNet games, printed and glued to Litko plywood bases. 40x15mm for vehicles, 3/4 x 1" for infantry, 15x15mm for small teams (like the RPG-7 in the picture).

The US Forces. Two platoons of M1s, one of infantry and supports.

View of the table from the American end. You can see some of the roads (not yet taped).

This is about a 110 point game - so about a "normal" tournament size game, but played on a 6x9 table, with the Soviets attacking the long way. Soviet objective is to clear a path to the city, more or less. The purpose of the game is really just to learn the Team Yankee rules.
