Started the first of two interim J-series mech battalions for my 2nd BDE, 3AD. J-series is mounted in M113A2, 4 companies with 2 M901, plus an AT company with 12 M901s in 3 platoons. Company mortars went away. Battalion mortar platoon increased to 6, medics got 8 M113 ambulances, M577s went from five to 8, scout platoon went from 10 M113s to 3 M113s and 2 M901s.
Started my Stryker battalion, as well, with the first company.
Also, taking all the paint off and repainting EVERYTHING to a higher standard, thanks to what I've seen on this site.
And naturally, for all of this, started a work area in the basement.

Oh yeah. I'm looking at re-gunning some M60A2s with 120mm guns and building the unmanned turret M1 a la the Tank Turret Test Bed project, wherein the M1's gun mount was something like the Stryker MGS, but the crew sat 3 across in the front hull.

I use third world regulars for mine. They are good and the weapon mix is close. I converted a few to bush hats with varying degrees of success.Cav Dog wrote:Prompted by the unopened pack post:

Re: GHQ VITP
I did that in 1/6000 scale...both War at Sea and Victory in the Pacific. You can check out some pics of that on my blog. I wanted to do it in 1/2400, but it quickly became clear to me that it would take a great deal of space to look good!saxophone wrote:I am hoping to collect and paint enough GHQ WWII Micronauts so I can play a giant version of Victory in the Pacific.

As always the list is long. One item towards the top of the list is.
Amphibious operations in 1/285 for my small Balzac Force.
Not too much heavy armour but enough to upset the neighbours.
The Balzac Ship Fearsome is waiting in the wings.

This will no doubt force me to start painting infantry stands for the heli born part.
