ww2 usa uniform colors

I'm sure that this is something that has been discussed before. I am going to be repainting my US minis and am going to be using acrylics for them. My question is very simple, to portray 1944 uniforms what colors should I use for the uniforms and accessories?

I think by 1944 they had become more of a standardized colour of an olive drab tone.
But if you wanted too add some variety, have some as still in the Khaki jacket with greenish/drab trousers?
