Why do some packs have only 2 or 4 castings

Post by nashorn88 »

I guess I never noticed but a m1a2 tusk pack you only get 4 casting instead of 5.
I wonder why ?
Does it use more material than me ? Are units in groups of 4?
Why do you only get 2 with eng tanks?

Just procrastinating Since I need organizing my German tanks. I'll post some pic and you will see why.

I have wondered that, myself, in some cases. If it helps, when GHQ started, US tank platoons consisted of five tanks, reduced to 4 per with the advent of the J-series and the M1 tank. Units were re-organized to J-series even though they still had M60A3. So the M1A2 pack may be influenced by that reorganization, but I would wager it has more to do with the amount of material and the development of the casting. Look at all those little parts that must be separated from molding trees and dribbled into packaging. There are probably variables like the popularity of the object and the frequency they expect it to be purchased. Fewer folks buy the M88/M578 recovery vehicle package than M1A2.
