Modern Artillery Crew

Post by CG2 »

As GHQ don't make modern artillery crews for towed artillery, what are you all using? Do you :

A) Not use any crew
B) Use WW2 artillery figures
C) Use modified modern infantry figures
D) Use figures from another manufacturer
E) Something I didn't think of!

I have gone out a few times with the intent of buying crew for modern artillery.
Every time I have come back with more SPG's.

So that at the moment puts me under "A"

In all fairness, I have not done it yet, but my intention is to use WWII crews.

I use WW2 crews, if you use shirtless models you genuinely can hardly see any difference once they're set up, even with the helmets painted etc they still look like they are meant to be there. Most modern armies use a helmet that looks quite similar to the M1 helmet anyway.

For most of my crewed arty I use US WW2 artillery or WW2 german depending on locale they represent, shirtless models can on any base, and Russian artillerymen are kept for Eastern-bloc themed forces.
