Minesweepers (imagination)

Post by nashorn88 »

Started with the one today and decided to make a class of 8 ships.
Yea I know I could have made a mode and cast them but kinda fun making them.
A ghq pegasus next to it as reference size.

HOW???? I can't even paint at the scale, much less scratch build a ship! What tools do you use? They look great!

Painting is easy but I don’t see how GHQ able to mode at this scale. But eyes are not what they uses to be I use one of those magnifying goggles.
Look at Pegasus the detail is just incredible.
I see why it that them months to turn out a new model.
I don’t have the patience the ship took me an hour.

These are my scratch built landing craft that I made prior to GHQ coming out with theirs. They're passable but nowhere near as detailed as your excellent models.

Very nice, Nashorn88!

Cav Dog...those are awesome, well done! I've been thinking about trying to make my own ultra-modern 1/285 landing craft to carry my vehicles, but I'm actually leaning towards finding a modeler that can do them for me.

US MSV(L), UK BMT Caimen, Russian Project A223 etc are all on my radar currently...

Wonderful work here, thanks for photos.
I will not try any 1/2400 scale bashing thats for sure, not even painting the buggers.
I have hacked a few 1/350 into what I need in !/285 I know my limits.

Shawno the A223 is on my radar too!
