A Ben Franklin/Lafayette SSGN left port 3 days ago heading to the north to join 2 other SSGN south of Alaska for training, observation and war games.

Ranger Training Class is arriving at Ft. Randolph
Student Rangers are arriving at Ft. Randolph to begin Ranger training, those that have been there started orientation and running, swimming and classes. A lot of recreation and tours for those here early.
ROD expected to have 20 candidates tomorrow. Total class size should be 240 candidates.

All the Ranger candidates arrived a week ago, 240 in all. Conditioning has been the biggest priority, 10 mile runs in the heat at 11am, upper body weights M-W-F, lower body weights on T-Th-S. Classes on animals & plants in the region, know the risks. Which can be a help. Classes on first aid, medical care. Swimming in a few lakes, 4 mile swims.
. The B-70 fly from Panama to Dakar, then to Americus Island in the Med.

The naval task force of ROD is always welcome to visit ports, forts, bases in Panama and the region.
Gitmo, Cuba, being a US base, allows the CoC to maintain a small cadre there.

Base at Georgetown, Guyana. Communications, a few smaller naval vessels and a few aircraft. We use the Guyana base having a section portioned off.
Grenada, is open, most logistical support.
