1/2400 Battleship Turrets
Can anyone please suggest the largest/best dual battleship turrets that can be bought as spare parts and used as shore batteries for an operational level board game? Thanks in advance.

If you really want dual turrets, the largest out there are probably the 406mm SKC/34 from the H-39 battleship. Most other navies had/were planning to use their big guns in turrets of 3-4 guns (e.g. Yamato, Missouri, Lion). The SKC/34 were even used in a shore-battery capacity, in Norway and France, although never as a dual turret.

Limiting the discussion to mounts actually used as shore defense batteries, the only examples I can find are four twin 12-inch turrets on the island of Helgoland. The guns were 30.5 cm SK L/50, essentially identical to those used on Helgoland, Kaiser, Koenig, Derfflinger, and Lutzow. Going to triple mounts would add the three 28 cm SK C/34 removed from Scharnhorst & mounted in Norway and two of the 14-inch mounts removed from Arizona & mounted at Kahe Point and Mokapu Point in Hawaii.

While not really a "shore" battery, there was also the "concrete battleship" Fort Drum, which mounted 2 14" dual gun turrets. (*cough* shapeways *cough*)
