Agreed.
We will arrange exchanges of diplomats and setting up of embassies.
Please be advised of extensive KDF activity and aggressive policing of our EEZ at this time.
The KDF Navy and Air Force are conducting major anti surface/subsurface exercises.
Deployment and live firing will take place this weekend across Western areas of Karmanaskis, including air and coastal defence systems (artillery/missile).

Upon hearing the news of the KDF's military trade deal with the EE being revoked. New Canada and members of the Pan Oceanic Pact offers a renewed trade and friendship deal with Karmanaskis in hopes of securing a new ally to fight aginest the Eurasian Empire.

Re: Karmanaskis
Karmanaskis no more wishes to fight the EE than it does the Pan Oceanic Pact and NC.
We value diplomacy and trade so we will monitor NC actions in the coming weeks before making a decision.
There are also ongoing hostilities that are not yet resolved. We assume there is a high possibility of another clash between the NC and EE.
Meanwhile KDF winter training continues in the mountains around the Columbia Icefield.

Re: Karmanaskis
The major yearly Winter exercise has come to a close. This year was a lower key affair than normal with just units from the Northland Reg't and local based reserves taking part. Some of this was in part due to the continuing re-equipment of many KDF formations and the need to conduct their own training to reach IOC (Initial operating capability). Others have said it was also to keep regional tensions down as the conflicts with the ROD, New Canada and the EE edged into the Pacific area.

Troops from the 1st BN Northland Reg't along with two MGS from the Northland Dragoons cover a locating radar.

Re: Karmanaskis
Today is an important day for the KDF Navy.
The first of a new class of warship is being commissioned as the Future Surface Combatant.
With many invited guests on hand this is the first homegrown product of the newly expanded and modernised government shipyard.
A little over a year late, the much needed ships are to replace the old Halifax class one for one.

KNS Stampede will head the new class.
Somewhat similar to the Formidable class (Singapore) the new ship and shipyard will give the Karma Government an independent Naval industrial base of production.
As the ship is accepted and taken on strength of the KDF Navy, the drinks flow in the red and white marquee dockside.

At the same time the second ship of the class (KNS Rundle) is floated out of the dock soon to join the fleet. Behind in the background, the finishing touches are underway on the third hull (KNS Franklin). Work goes on 7 days a week in the assembly buildings to try to bring the project back on schedule.

Shipyard tour photos to follow due to bad weather.

Re: Karmanaskis
We are expecting to see some great rowboats, outboard fishing boats and sleek cabin cruisers.
Even Trump would be impressed.

Re: Karmanaskis
The ROD would like to congratulate the KDF Navy on this achievement! You are producing excellent warships that will certainly have an impact on the balance of naval power in the imagi-nation world! Well done!
And we would also like to thank you for the invitation to the event. Officially we enjoyed the festivities and we networked with KDF military officials. Unofficially, we may have bumped into some EE guys in a back room. There are rumors of a prisoner swap between the EE and the ROD.

Re: Karmanaskis
The Distinguished guest of CoC to Karmanaskis for the new ships was quite enjoyable and informative.
The Commonwealth is highly impressed with the independent construction of this class of ships. The shipyards was well maintained and effective from observation from our visitors to the shipyard.
Thank you.

The Distinguished guests from the CofC, ROD, EE, RPNW etc are welcomed to the new Government of Karmanaskis shipyard. All of the foreign guests are escorted, some of the groups are kept more separated than others.

After the formal acceptance of the KNS Stampede into service, the different dignitaries are offered a guided tour of the facility.
Some areas are not shown but the idea of steel in, ships out is explained and shown.
https://youtu.be/Vs6vCiE5oHw Just replace Oz with Karma.

Some members did seem to get lost during the tour but it turned out that they where with the Karma foreign Minister who was showing off the new welding equipment.
More photos in 'show us your stuff'.
PS. One eagle eyed guest on the tour of the assembly hall noticed that a number of build 'blocks' seemed different and out of place.
When he questioned that they looked as if for a bigger vessel, he was told that after FSC# 4 hull is complete a small fishing boat will be built. Smiles and giggles followed.

How is construction coming on ‘fishing’ boat?
These trucks and crews are fishin’ for fishing boats.

Nice trucks Chris.
However those legacy systems from the last century pose little threat to my new dingy. Also if they are sitting on the coast of Monacodom, she can take them out with ease while the Captain swigs a Guinness sitting in the port of Dublin.
Now over 540' long and pushing 10,000 ton. Not my design but adjusted and modified to the Karma mission set.
There will be no unauthorised fishing in my pond lol.
UPDATE* First AWD vessel to float out this week, second AWD vessel to follow very shortly from different shipyard. The program originally started out as the Air Warfare Destroyer but over the years this grew in size and scope to what was know as the "Area Wide Dominance" vessel.
Now called "Area Wide Defence" vessel to sound more PC.
