The Pacific Patrol has wrapped up their route with the fellow POP member nation the Outboard Islands, they will be returning home to take part in the ROD's Operation Trident once a date is set. the Lead Designer of the Type 26 Frigate, Blair Collins will be onboard HMCS Hells Gate to oversea the Frigates performance in a live exercise, he did not get the chance to do so back on HMCS Fraser due to engine troubles. He hopes to see her weapons blow stuff up. Hells Gate will be joined by HMCS Canada, who recently went through a change in her Carrier Air Group, replacing all of her CF-118s with more locally Produced CF-21s from Avro Canada. This going to be one awesome operation.

In Tech news The NC integrated Solider System Project (ISSP) has been cancelled, due to mounting costs, Technological limitations, and the lack of interest by the Department of Acquisitions. Meanwhile Avro Canada has officially dropped the Goose Works name and rebranded their Aviation Maintenance department as Avro Maintenance.

The Pacific Trident 2025 exercise doesn't start until July 1st. You have plenty of time!

The NC battle group will need to be in Hawaii prior to that date. Your formation will depart Hawaii on the morning of July 1st, along with 2 ROD battle groups. I can send you the schedule tonight.

Carrier battle groups are coming out of Hawaii. Amphibious units are coming out of Australia, Subs coming out of the Philippines, and bombers are flying out of both Japan and the Philippines.

Bombardier Aerospace has received the Licence from SAAB to produce the JAS-39 Gripen for the RCAF to replace the CF-118 super hornets it was given the designation CF-39 Grippen, with the possibility to produce the proposed Sea Gripen once SAAB gets around to producing it. Bombardier is expected to unveil their Prototype CF-39 next month.

Meanwhile Plans are underway to get NC's Carrier Battle group ready for operation trident in July. With the Type 26 Frigate HMCS Hells Gate in drydock for a detailed inspection, to make sure shes ready for the excercise as the Class lately has been experiencing problems, with one hull loss, and one with a broken engine.

SNC Lavlin, has recently renegotiated it's contract with the RCN, to restart the long abandoned Mistral class LHA project, to get at least one into service for their Amphibious fleet. The First vessel is expected to be completed by the end of the month.

Meanwhile the NC Carrier fleet formed for Pacific Trident is fully ready to go, they should be leaving by next week.
