Hi Team
Am I imagining it, or was there a Marder II with a converted Russian 76.2mm gun? I s'pose it doesn't make much difference in practical terms if I use the III. My little force is the winter of '42/'43, and both were in use.

You're not imagining it - https://tanks-encyclopedia.com/ww2/nazi ... der_ii.php
GHQs G112 (Marder III) looks more like it than G116 (Marder II) and has the same gun so I'd use that.

Thanks for that. While I completely missed the point in my post, I thought our hosts had made the II with the 76, but it looks like I misremembered.
Never mind. The III G112 will do nicely (though I prefer how the II looks).

Re: Marder II with the 76?
GHQ does not currently make a model of the Marder II based on the Panzer IID chassis. According to the German Tank Encyclopedia, there were 201 of these produced/converted from April 1942 to June 1943.
Since GHQ makes virtually all the other Marder Self-propelled AT guns including the Marder I, 3 versions of the Marder III, and the 7.5 cm armed Marder II, it would be cool if they made this variant as well.

Re: Marder II with the 76?
Well... it appears that the chassis that mounts the Pak36(r) isn't the same as the one that the existing Marder II. I figured with was. The 76mms were mounted on the Ausf D chassis with the torsion bar, rather than leaf springs.
