Bah, how did I miss that! I will be ordering packets of those pretty much instantly.7.62 wrote:Quartette I think they have this one covered.Quartette wrote:Possibly a slightly random one, but I would love some European style civilians. If some of them were armed, that'd be great too.
N-602 Western Civilians April 30th 2017.
Very much on my buy list.
Ok wihle I am keen on a Bv206s (armoured version) i think my vote would have to go for SOCOM SF types - preferably inc snipers in ghillie suits.

Choose one Modern item for the 2017-18 new releases
I've always thought that proposing a single item with supporting commentary was a really great idea. The only problem is narrowing down the choice to only one. Initially, I choose the Bandkanon I , but it's an artillery piece (an incredibly great artillery piece) and will usually be played off-board. I can assume that I have a battery, and vaporize an enemy unit (at 15 rpm/gun) without having to actually possess the models.
33YearsGHQ suggested Patriot launchers. That's a top choice for me as well, but it's more suited to be a Patriot battery Combat Command.
So that leaves me with my final choice the last model S-Tank. The Stridswagn 103C is another bit of Swedish auto-loading goodness. Perhaps not a commander's best choice for offensive operations, but if you run up against a platoon of these badboys in defense, your tanks won't be around very long.
My number one choice is the Strv 103C.

gryphon, the Wiesel is a nice nomination. The Germans have some very interesting versions. I think the US Army looked at some for various purposes - reconnaissance in particular, but dropped it for reasons not known to me.
All blessings flow from a good mission statement.

That just seems lame to me.
This is why I put forward the "Marines/SOCOM in rafts".......in the Ultra-Modern period, most Spec Ops guys are rocking the same gear. Even Russian SF in Syria look like Navy SEALs except with AKs (NSFW vid: https://youtu.be/w_r_AxPdYbo ). Pretty much all Western nations are rocking an M4-family carbine for their elite troops.
So a product with:
-wetsuit guys w/M4s in action poses
--same in rafts
-cammies/combat uniforms + boonie hats w/M4s in action poses
--same in rafts
^That gives you a product that will cover pretty much all Western special ops troops today. And then you just resculpt the rifles into AKs / PKMs / SVDs and the same basic product is now good for former-Warsaw Pact countries too. ^_^ Something useful across the board yet pretty period-specific.

For the first pick in GHQ 2017 draft I hope modern armor picks the Chinese Type 96A tank.
This is based on want, how many packs I would buy, and how current it is
Runners up were in order: Netherlands YP 408, British FV 433 Abbot, and Belgium M75
M60A2 would top list if I didn't have some already

As an old M60A2 tanker, I'm sentimentally with you and would like to see the M60A2 line started up again. Nevertheless, I have to keep my vote at the M48A1.
I'm surprised the thread is still open at this point, although not a lot of members have contributed a suggestion or voted for an existing nomination.
