The northern CoC pursuit group will back up 3 miles, then head north for a mile then back east to search for Al-Kabab. along that axis. The southern Commonwealth group will take a similarly parallel path that is north of their axis of advance to head easterly direction.
. CoC forces in Guyana have set up 4 artillery batteries to support the two groups in VZ.
. In southern VZ. a drone flies south, it appears to be searching. I then circles over the Canadian and Brazilian trenches being dug. Staying around for over 15 minutes. It has been gathering info on the progress and build up in the lager. It flies higher....then 2 pair of several thumps. Moments later HE explosions in the area of the trenches. Drone sent images back that two died in the mortar attacks, seems several wounded. Then several L1A1 rifles are fired up at the drone finally hitting it.... falling to the ground 20-30 yards infront of the trench line hitting a tree, flipping, hitting two more, then a branch, which broke it into 3 larger pieces, tumbling to the ground.
.
Panama, Pacific Ocean
Two more cigarette boats take off at 40 knots. 20 minutes later identified by OH-6, which calls in the sighting. It approaches closer to 2 miles distance from the cigarette boats, one white and the other grey with black trim. The observation mast is being used to confirm a weapon on the rear deck of the the white speed boat.
. Two AH-1, I.D. C-4, come in for the attack, 1 1/2 miles out open fire on the white boat speeding through the water. It seems the rules of engagement may have changed or are being ignored. As some shots splash near the boat, a couple of hits on the Cobra take place. The other AH-1, C-9, circled to starboard bow now firing into the path of the boat letting the boat race into the rounds from the 20mm Gatling gun. 3 hit of which two die. The boat veers to the port side as the drive slumps. He is thrown out of the way by another to gain control as it bounces in the chop. The gun in the rear continues to fire at the first Cobra to approach and fire, hitting it several more times. going through the window and sides. Lights flashing on the control panel. AH-1, C-9, continues to fire on the white cigarette boat, several more hits. A fire breaks out. 2 other crewmen are down that manned to gun on the boat. The remaining crewman slows the boat holding up his arms. The OH-6 approaches along with the AH-1.
. A Hercules patrol craft is heading their way, 15 minutes out. The other cigarette boat has been moving along after speeding up to 60 and 70 knots to the west, getting away. When the patrol boat arrives, quick search of the burning boat reveals that the gun is a single barrel 20mm gun. Which is surprising to bolt the gun to the deck. There are 3 total survivors from the burning cigarette boat along with one box of ammo for the gun and 2 lbs of drugs, as the fire expands. Back on the Hercules and away from the boat, 3 40mm rounds fired from a man's 203 launcher. Boat really burns and sinks.

The southern pursuit group in VZ, among other units heard calls for help of the attack by Al-Kabab. Triangulated the position. Helicopter force of 4 CH-47s and 8 Hueys, and 12 AH-1 Cobra with 4 OH-6 Loches flew to the area. There was smoke rising from the ground.... The UH-1 had men repelled down, to secure the area. 80 men. The southern group booked it to the location. OH-6 and AH-1 excorted the task force to the scene. A few gun shots where received. AH-1 would fire the 20mm in the wooded areas that were suspected to hide Al-Kabab.
. The 80 men found a few wounded among the armored group, it appears a couple of them fainted death to survive. The CH-47 had to land about a mile away for 200 troops. Some equipment was off loaded, as jeeps and mules (mechanized).
. Liters were dropped and hoisted back up with the 6 wounded soldiers, 4 Canadians and 2 Brazilians into the UH-1, flown to the CH-47 which took off. The Uh-1 returned for the next pair and flew back to the CH-47 for 3 trips.
. In Guyana, a relief, rescue and recovery convoy was set up to go to the ambush site, to render assistance and aid. Large convoy of trucks, armored vehicles and men.

The two task force groups have pulled back into Guyana under orders. They arrived late last night. This morning, looking at the vehicles, getting new tires, the repairs to get the vehicles back in top form for operations. Nice dinner and festivities are planned for this evening. Local celebration is a pig roast. With the hundreds of men, it will be a Pigs roast.
. The CoC is glad that the men have been returned to the Canadian and Brazilian command.

The combined mechanized group, TF 108 is re-fitting to a small degree, mostly working on tires, belts and hoses, broken window, basically any damaged or missing equipment.
Those with nagging injuries are nursing those or seeking medical treatments. Wash and showers are a great relief.
.
Ft. Amador has been busy with getting ready for inspection by Lt. Gnl Clark. He came through the base inspecting the armored vehicles. Then in parade a company of Rooikat 105s were to lower their gun as a sign of respect for rank. when they did, 3 cans of beer came out. The crew was surprised of the parade, thus when the general showed up they put the beer cans in the barrel. Worked fine until the parade and the gunner remembered the beer. The general gave a command to the Sgt Major for the unit to halt, which it did. The General came down and grabbed the 3 beers giving one to the gunner and one to the driver. then general enjoyed the beer with those two men. The loader and commander missed out.
