Pete,
No matter how many times I see your terrain, I am still impressed. Your work is pure artistry. Your Italian tanks look amazing as well.

Thanks very much, Hoth, and Happy New Year to you and the rest of my friends here on the GHQ Forum!
I am currently making a big push to finish up these Italian tanks I am working on so I can get going on my Russian Front project. I have more buildings to finish and another Company of T-70s and one of T-34s that await.

Re: Pete's Place
Very nice AAR & terrain. I also like your scenario, which gives a good historical feel : Pz IIIs and IVs were the staple of the Panzerwaffe, and the 76 mm gun of the T34 was quite a threat for these. Glad to see you're back to painting, these M13 seem to be nicely started!

Thank you very much, Foxbat! I am glad you enjoyed the AAR.
I was originally planning a larger scenario if I could get enough players. This would have included maybe some T-70s and even some SU-152s for the Russians and some Panther Ds and Tiger Is for the Germans. I was even looking at getting my StuGs and Ferdinand/Elephants into the game but it would have been a bit too much. I thought the game, as presented, was actually fairly well balanced. The players did have fun.

Re: Pete's Place
I finally finished up my Italian M-13/40s a couple weeks ago after a 2 year hiatus from completing the 1st Platoon. I also created a desert terrain board made from a spare piece of styrofoam to use as a display base to take pictures of my desert vehicles.
Here are a few pictures I took of the whole 17 tank Company. Now that one Company is completed I need another one or two at some point but the Russian Front beckons me.

These look excellent, Pete. Great detailling, enhanced by your subtle shading. if I may ask, I'd like a close up shot of one of them?

Thank you both very much, Redleg and Foxbat! I always appreciate it.
Foxbat, here are a few close-ups of the M-13/40s. These were taken before I made my new desert display.

The HQ section as denoted by a solid red emblem.

1st Platoon as denoted by a single white stripe.

2nd Platoon as denoted by two white stripes.

3rd Platoon as denoted by three white stripes.

Pete - Great work there. You never disappoint.
One question: where are the pasta stowage bins on these tanks?

Thanks Pete! The correct insignia decals at this scale are nice, but really your paintjob is top notch.

Re: Pete's Place
Pete, if a tank could be pretty, those are it. I know I have asked before, how did you do the wash? Is it applied directly to the dull coat or do you apply a gloss coat so the paint runs into the detail easily and then put a dull coat over it? If applied directly to dull coat, do you touch up the base coat on the flats where the wash ends up in a place you do not want?
