(Lt Marcus Davis): "Pilot, Im very disappointed that you failed to win the Top Dogfighter Trophy for this year. Your on Janitorial duty when we get back to Cold Lake. If we are invited to next years Fighter Rodeo hopfully a much more successful pilot from our unit will give New Canada and the POP our first Top Dogfighter Trophy."
(Da Vincian Pilot): "Mama Mia, Come diavolo ha fatto la KDF, usando pezzi di spazzatura, combattenti cinesi e russi, a battere i nostri migliori combattenti nel Patto Pan Oceanico? ".

Congratulations to all pilots and their Crews! You did well.
It has been a great event.
Those KDF fighters look evil!

Re: Republic of Dalmatia Imagi-Nation
The pilots were up early this morning, reporting to their respective ready rooms and receiving orders at 0600 sharp. The squadrons were split into two wings: Angel Wing and Devil Wing. All aircraft departed Vulture Field no later than 0700, making a short hop to temporary airfields. Angel Field is on the coast to the south of Vulture Field. Devil Field is on the coast to the north of Vulture Field.

Once all 240 aircraft were landed and secured (120 at each location), the pilots received their orders:
Credible intelligence reports indicate that enemy forces are deploying ballistic missile submarines and surface combatants to your coastline. Intercepted transmissions direct submarine commanders to fire their missiles on friendly population centers and industrial targets.
Each wing must locate and destroy enemy naval targets, while defending their own warships against air attack. All simulated warships are derelict hulks floating off the coast, painted green for Angel forces and red for Devil forces.
Fighters are being equipped for simulated air-to-air engagements and attack aircraft are being loaded with live munitions.
Takeoff is in one hour!
Results to be posted later today.

Re: Republic of Dalmatia Imagi-Nation
The grand air battle can best be described as controlled mayhem. The fighters from both wings engaged each other over open water as the attack squadrons attempted to locate and attack the naval targets. Initially, Devil Wing gained the upper hand, with the ROD’s VFA-6 and the CoC’s 69th Air Wing gaining air superiority in a close-range dogfight. The Devil Wing attack aircraft began making attack runs against the green painted derelicts, destroying several with bombs and cannon fire before the Angel Wing fighters pounced and drove the off.
The battle migrated to the south and Devil Wing found themselves on the defensive. The F-111s of CoC’s 9th attack wing destroyed 2 enemy ships while RPNW Harriers destroyed a third.
The battle raged for almost 2 hours, but with aircraft short of fuel, ENDEX was called and all aircraft returned to Vulture Field for an AAR and sharing of tall tales.
There is some time for the pilots to get cleaned up before the awards ceremony, during which the winners will undoubtedly drink some Avatar Ale from their newly won trophies. They will probably drink some type of liquor from their helmets as well, and there is always that one guy that decides to drink from his boot, which the medical staff frowns upon.
Please enjoy yourselves at the barbeque hosted by the commander of ROD Air Combat Command. The rock band Smegma Bomb will be playing tonight along with rapper Big Phattie. Tomorrow morning a hangover recovery buffet will be held in Hangar 2 and then the squadrons will depart.
Thank you for attending the 2024 Fighter Rodeo! The next international event will be the Tanker’s Ball, which is traditionally held on the Army’s birthday (June 14th). Be ready for some hot tank-on-tank action at the Combat Maneuver Training Center at Armadillo Barracks in the ROD!

POP Team Camp Vulture Feild.
the pilots and commanders from the POP team remain at the camp during this time, as it felt best to avoid the terrible display of uncivilized behaviour going on in the ROD hanger. The Officers did calmly toast with New Canadian and Da Vincian Wine and spirits to the POP's successful participation in this years Fighter Rodeo. Despite not winning much other then the Pit-stop portion with the CF-21s. Hopefully the POP's Tank units, can do better at the Tankers Ball in June, if invited. In the meantime, it sounds like the pilots will have to spend more time in the Aircraft Simulator to better their flying skills.

Many thanks to the ROD for another excellent run fighter competition.
The KDF takes home a bonanza of knowledge and ideas to work on for the future.
Apologies for the limited visual participation this year due to major rearrangements in the hobby real estate (whats wrong with spray painting in the kitchen anyway?)
Until the next one, fly safe.

Re: Republic of Dalmatia Imagi-Nation
Sorry for the late notice! I forgot to send this notice out earlier:
The ROD Ministry of Defense is happy to announce that June 2024 will be witness to the International Tanker’s Ball! This week-long event is dedicated to tanks and their crews. The event will be held at the Combat Maneuver Training Center at ROD’s Armadillo Barracks.
The ROD invites each interested player to send their two best tank companies to the event. For this event, a tank company will consist of 10 tanks, 1 recovery vehicle, and 4 wheeled support vehicles. Tanks must be fully tracked, turreted, without dismounted troops, and mount a main gun of 90mm or larger. All 10 tanks must be of the same type.
The ROD will provide each tank company with a secure motor pool with maintenance facilities. We will also provide housing and meals for all participants, dignitaries, and media as well as fuel, live ammunition, MILES equipment, and ground transportation during the event. If your tanks require main gun ammunition other than NATO 105mm or 120mm please let us know in advance. Likewise, if your tanks utilize machine gun ammunition other than linked NATO 7.62mm and .50 Cal please let us know in advance.
Tank companies will be assigned to either the Dragoon Regiment or the Hussar Regiment.
There will be 6 competitions:
• Gunnery Range
• Driving Course
• Tank Biathlon
• Maintenance
• Capture the Hill (Company)
• Feeding Frenzy (Individual Crew)
While not part of the competition per se, there will also be a massive tank battle in the CMTC training area to close out the event.
Gunnery Range
Each tank will live fire on the range at both stationary and moving targets. Targets will be engaged with both main gun and machine gun. Points will be awarded for accuracy. And just when you think you’re done with the range, there will be a simulated chemical attack and each crew will shoot again in full chemical protective gear. The top shooting tank crew will receive a trophy, and the top shooting company will receive a plaque.
Driving Course
Each tank will complete 2 runs through a challenging tank obstacle course that will include fording a stream and negotiating a narrow street. A third run will be completed in full chemical protective gear. The three times will be combined, and penalties assessed for striking obstacles. The top driving tank crew will receive a trophy, and the top driving company will receive a plaque.
Tank Biathlon
Each tank crew will negotiate a challenging live fire course with rough terrain and moving targets. The tank will have to fire on the move as they wind through the course. Penalties will be assessed each time a tank stops. Points will be awarded based on both time and accuracy. The top tank crew will receive a trophy, and the top tank company will receive a plaque.
Maintenance
Each company will put their maintenance team to the test with a diabolical test. One tank will be selected by the judges for the event, and it will be parked in a dirt lot. The maintenance team will remove the tank’s powerpack and replace it with a new one. Both tracks will also be removed and replaced with new ones. After 30 minutes the team will experience a simulated chemical attack and will have to complete the event in full chemical protective gear. Points will be awarded based on time, with penalties assessed if the tank fails to function properly at the end of the event.
Capture the Hill
Tank companies will be outfitted with MILES gear for this force-on-force event. A single objective (a hilltop) will be assigned to two competing companies. The companies that win will move on to subsequent rounds, until one company is declared “King of the Hill”.
Feeding Frenzy
All competing tanks will be equipped with MILEs gear and they will be turned loose in the training area to kill or be killed. Each tank will be able to take three hits before being disabled. The battle will go on until only one tank remains and that tank will be memorialized as the world’s best tank and crew.
[GM’s Note: No real people or micro armor tanks need to move for this event. Please just upload pics of your tanks and let me know who is participating. All competitions will be resolved by me by dice roll.]
If you would like to participate, please notify the ROD Ministry of Defense and include the unit designation and type of tank.

Re: Republic of Dalmatia Imagi-Nation
Thank you for the MOST coveted invitation for armor units!!
Monacodom is delighted to attend with an excellent units.
Co B, from the 1st Monaco Div in M1A2, the recovery vehicle is an M8888 A12 (I’m exaggerating a bit). 2 Hemtt Tankers each with a tanker trailer with generator to keep the contents chilled properly. Also, one 5-axle Hemtt with trailer and 4-axle Hemtt with tanker trailer (Avatar Beer is to be smuggled in, don’t tell anyone!).
The CoC has an outstanding unit to compete in this Illustrious event.
The Commonwealth is sending Co A, of the 147th Armored Regiment, 48th Div. It will have the Merkava V, also with M88 A2. The wheeled vehicles will be 2 Hemtt tankers towing chilled tanker trailers and Hemmts (cargo) with tanker trailers.
We have determined that the tanks run better, faster, further, smoother on Avatar liquid vs. high octane fuel. Not sure why.
The two Sea-Land high speed cargo ships should be docking very soon. The crew of the two ships have been communicating by secure commo that there is a small micro-brewery on each of the ships. Apparently, they can be broken-down quickly, moved, and setup in hours. Component elements are on wheeled sleds.
The Commonwealth of Chrisdom is looking forward to participating and meeting many of the participants and looking at the cool tanks!

Re: Republic of Dalmatia Imagi-Nation
That's excellent news! We are looking forward to seeing the tanks and tankers from the CoC and POP! There is a rumor that the RPNW will be participating as well! We are also sending a delegation to Karmanaskis to see if we can convince them to send a couple tank companies over.
The ROD has selected their companies for the Tanker's Ball:
A Company / 2-70 Armor from the 3rd Mech Division will be participating (Callsign Hell Hounds).

Also participating is C Troop / 1st Squadron / 5th Armored Cavalry Regiment (Callsign Saber). This one was a bit of a surprise since it isn't a tank company, but the C Troop tanks out-shot all of the competition and they earned their place in the Tanker's Ball! They have absorbed a tank from D Company to give them a full 10-tank company.
