Interesting article. I think that makes at least 4 different stories of Whitmann's death I have read, though. One had him abushed by Brit 6pdrs when he stopped to pick up the crew from one of the other tanks in his unit. I did get to see his grave marker, though, in the German cemetary near Normandy.
And, yes, I remember Poole Hall now that I see it again - I didnt have a clue at the time who it was named for, though. Walked by there for the scout training which was an armor MOS - trained on the M-114 way back when.

I spent many times at Ft Knox, and probably didn't even notice Poole hall. There are so many things named after US tankers at Ft. Knox it's hard to remember them all. I rember seeing my first M114 there in '71. Cute little things, but wouldn't want to be assigned one.

yes,I had to paint some up. They turned out awesome. I didn't think aprapo to post the other manufacturer here.Mixing companies(manufacturers) doesn't seem to distract during the game either. I still keep the manufacturers seperate on a TO&E scale,of course...Der Kommandeur wrote:Hi jb
It's a really good forum because of the calibre of folk who frequent it (people like me)
BTW, good to see your reformed views on Adler over at microarmourdotcom![]()

Maybe I will post some pics of their crews, after all they are GHQ guns...

HI jb
I understand regarding the posting matter.
Artillery is the only place I have small reservations ... I have a blister of GHQ summer/tropical artillery figures, and notice how small and fine they are. My Adler crews do look somewhat overscale, especially the seated gunner figures. I plan to use the summer/tropical artillery crews for SP gun and AFV crews though.
