Perhaps you guys are just a bit sensitive? I don't recall any color arguments.

People need a starting point, & it is logical to provide the proper 1:1 scale chip color (if known) as a starting point. And then of course, adjust to taste. By all means. You can't put the real world color on a 1/285 model. :shock:

Shermans: with the shrinking range of Humbrols available, I use #101 mixed witha wee bit of #60. Amazing combo. You can get many variations with simply varying the amounts. Add #100 for a more greenish Olive drap.

Panthers: Humbrol 83. Period. Ok, add a bit of yellow/white for variation. Or not...

T-34/85: Humbrol 86.

Prime: AWAYS!!!

The paint will get better bonding with a prime.

White or black, (i prefer white) with a a cheap flat paint, actual primer may be too thick, THIN coat, find one you like and stick with it. I use Armor coat whit from Canuck Tire.
