hipo neddle barrels

Post by LJERONIMO »

hi,here in spain is not easy but not difficult. I speak with some friends who work in hospitals and medical centers and aks them to look for the blue ones 0,6mm, red or white 0,3 and all the neddles with a colour diferent of green (o,8) to big. with 4 or 5 of each is enough for many barrels.
in the chemistry i bought really cheap hypo for insulin treatment, usually 0,3mm.
i cut then with a normal modeller blade, only be carefull to put your fingers in every side, wen it get cut they jump, and is imposible to find them in floor.
the muzzles i drill them, one piece of 0,6mm of diameter 1,5 mm long atached to a 0,3 drill that is inside of another piece of, 0,8, i will try to made a diagram
here are the pictures and the photo of the neddles, they go in a colour code and can be found in internet, the only problem is that they sell 100 units per box

Great looking barrels.

I'd suggest anyone in the States to look up the local laws before ordering any online. In some areas it considered "Drug Paraphernalia" if you possess them without a doctor's prescription.

NEDDLES

Post by LJERONIMO »

I DIDN,T THINK ABOUT USA LAWS, BUT THERE IS A WAY, IN THE MOMENT YOU CUT THE SHARP POINT OF THE NEDDLE AND CUT THE PLASTIC PART, WHAT YOU HAVE THEN IS A METAL TUBE. I USUALLY DO IT IN THE MOMENT I GET THEM, WITH TWO BOYS AT HOME IS A RISK I DON,T WANT TO RUN.

Check out (SNIP - removed weblink to company called Small Parts)

They are a small material supply house that sell metal hypodermic tubing without the plastic coupling.

Sorry, but I had to snip out the weblink in your posting above. Our hosts at GHQ have asked that we not post links to corporate websites in the forums.

You are welcome to discuss other companies and their products. But please don't put the direct link to their sites in your posts.

BTW I too love the look of those barrels, and welcome ideas on where to find them.

MK I, My bad ... Thought the ban was on competing companies.

Google Small Parts, Inc. They have hypodermic tubing as small as .0143 OD.

I've been away from businness some time, but I'm back now with ships. I decided to change the barrels of my Bismarck and here you have the results, they are not finish and not glued yet but they seems god for me. I'm going to try to add a little thickness to them in the base for better look.

Mk I or Paul B,

Would it be possible to get a little more specific info about Small Parts, Inc.? I Googled it and came up with a company located in Logansport, IN and two locations in Mexico -- and couldn't find any info about the tubing used in hypodermic needles.

I know that by GHQ rules, we cannot post a specific link. But would it be possible to give a little more detail so I can find the site? Or would it be permissible to send me a PM with the link?

Thanks!

Regards,

Try replacing "Inc." with "hypodermic" or "tubing"

Tom

The site you wanted was [SNIP] .
I tried it from my bookmarks a few minutes ago and it redirects to [SNIP] .
It's all the same products. Looks like they partnered up with Amazon. Hope this helps.

cheers

Wow those are amazing. I've seem very small brass tubing at model shops but I had no idea about using syringes.

I'm not a big fans of needle though so I will steer clear of them... . :D
