Bull hockey....The SVAF used them in a limited ground attack role as have just about everyone out side of us and a few other economicaly blessed Nations. Many are still in service...A great multirole platform that can do Air,Recon and ground attack and besides what other airframe looks as pretty and dangerous at the same time....SHARK

The F-5 is an awesome little plane. When I was working at Northrop on the YF-23 program back in the good old days sometimes I'd walk the F-5 line and admire these beautiful little birds. One time when things were a little slow in the model shop I got to do some restoration work to a 1/10th scale F-20 Tigershark wind tunnel model. It's a real shame that plane never became the new F-5.
