Yes P4 it's a licence-built Mercedes-Wolf but the GHQ Wolf model couln't be a P4 :
There's minor differences between the Wolf and the P4 :
WOLF : different side doors, differents front bumper. And the GHQ Wolf don't have the central hoop behind the driver seat.
Peugeot P4 : note the additional bar on bumper, the soft plastic side doors design (and there's a central hoop, not visible on the picture. under the tarpaulin. All the french P4 have the central hoop behind the driver seat to carry LMG), the front road lights have a different form than the Wolf
Finally, a P4 without tarpaulin would be great to make Special force vehicule :
That's why P4 is different and very interesting.
Overall, another interesting list from GHQ for the upcoming year.
Since I am most interested in WWII, Cold War era, and Arab Israeli Wars and also WWI and WWII naval those are the items that thrill me the most.
Here are my picks and comments on the WWII releases.
1. Russian Tank Riders. I think many of us have been waiting for these for a while. I hope GHQ scales them correctly to their vehicles. I am interested to see how they do these.
2. German Trailers. These will be nice additions for some of the trucks.
3. Marder 1 on Hotchkiss Chassis. I am okay with this but am wondering how different this is from the one that was just released.
4. 105 on Hotchkiss Chassis. Again I am not sure how different this one is from last year's release.
5. British Light AT Weapons. I am assuming Boys AT rifles and PIATs here. It will be interesting to see how GHQ approaches this pack. In the U.S. Light AT Weapons pack we got 37mm AT guns and jeeps plus 2 differently posed bazooka gunners and 2 differently posed loaders. Will there be an AT gun in this pack or just the PIAT's and Boys. GHQ already has the British AT guns covered.
6. Staghound Mk III. I am not that excited about this one. It is very late war and produced in limited numbers. I will probably get a pack anyway.
7.Dornier DO17. This will give the Germans all their primary bombers. I will get a few.
Here are some things I would have liked to see this coming year.
1. Lloyd Carriers. This is the correct prime mover for the 6 lbr. AT gun. In lieu of the Staghound Mk III for me.
2. German 21st Panzer halftracked vehicles - Infantry, engineer, AT.
3. U.S. M1917 and M1919 MG's plus 81mm Mortars in Heavy Weapons Pack Nr. 2. Right now the U.S. infantry is lacking these heavy weapons. This is a big gap in my opinion.
4. Complete the Northwest Europe British Heavy Weapons. The Brits need 3 inch mortars and Vickers MG's. I am happy to see the addition of the light AT weapons for the British but want to see how they do them.
5. More German 251 D series halftracks, especially the 251 D7 engineer but also the D10 as well.
I am not excited at all about the B-17G because I am mostly interested in WWII ground combat with air support and not aerial bombing campaigns.
Here are my picks for Cold War and Arab-Israeli which I will combine for brevity sake.
1. T-54. This will give the Warsaw Pact and Arab armies all the main tanks during this period. I am very happy to see this.
2. Israeli M3 with 90mm AT gun. This is nice as well.
Here are a couple of items that I would have liked to have seen.
1. Israeli Infantry. Looking for the 67 and 73 War time frame.
2. Arab Infantry. Looking for Egyptian/Syrian infantry from the 67 and 73 War time frame.
Here are the ships that I am most interested in for both WWI and WWII.
1. Devonshire. Good to see this one.
2. Chathame. Good to see this as well.
3. Konigsberg. Another winner for me.
4. Kagero. I am happy to see this one fnally but hope to see the early version like Don but would like to see both versions eventually.
5. Early War U.S. Aircraft. This is very nice but need some appropriate carriers to base them on, especially the Devestator.
What I would have like to have seen.
1. HMS Canopus.
2. HMS Otranto.
Here are a few more things. I am not really into ultra modern but may buy some of these.
1. ISIS infantry. It will be interesting to see how different these are from the sub-Saharan infantry. I painted the sub-Saharan infantry for GHQ a couple of years ago and there are some figures in that pack that could be used as ISIS or Al Quaida.
2. T64BM. If I ever do a Ukraine scenario these may come in handy but they are just a bit late for Cold War.
That is it for now. I hope everyone got at least something they wanted from this list.
Very agree with you "pmskaar" about US and UK WWII infantry complement packs.
Yes, some heavy weapons (Piat, mortar, AT Rifle, Hmg, MMG, U.S. M1917 and M1919 MG's plus 81mm Mortars) are cruelly missing...
About WWII Russians tank riders, like you, I hope GHQ scales them correctly to their T-34s series.
And something like that would be great (but with helmet on every soldiers heads) :
wait and see...
Pmskaar:
I'm also at a loss about the Marder 1(h) and 105mm Hotchkiss vehicles.
I only know of one variant of either, and they made those last year.
(Edit- apparently a couple used the H-35 instead of the 39, but I'd think that minor sub-varient far too insignificant to waste 2 new models on.)
If they were the Renault/Lorraine versions it would make sense, especially as that was by far the most common Marder 1, though the 105mm was rare.
And there were the FCM 35 variants...

I am puzzled on how the Hotckiss vehicles will be.
For the other vehicles with 10,5cm there were 8 on FCM hull and 24 on the Lorraine hull.
TAMMY:
Sometimes, I'm not clear enough
I knew about the FCM and Lorraine 105mm vehicles; I just meant I didn't know of any other Hotchkiss variants worth producing. (I don't count 1 or 2 individual vehicles using the H-35 instead of 39)
GHQ’s 2015-2016 releases for Wehrmacht ’47:
There doesn’t seem to be anything for the hypothetical Germans in this year’s announcements but both the Soviets and the US get a useful piece of equipment.
The M41 155mm Motor Howitzer Carriage (Gorilla) mounted the standard M114 howitzer on a modified M24 Chaffee tank chassis. Sixty were built late in WWII and remained in service for some time after. If the war had continued, many more would have been built.
The T-54 main battle tank was a significant improvement on the T-44. The suspension was superior, the armor was better, and it carried a more-powerful 100mm gun. Early models were being produced in 1947. These had a turret shape similar to that of the T-44 with significant shot traps. Later versions of the T-54 eliminated these shot traps, but were too late for Wehrmacht ’47. I hope GHQ's release is the early version.
The British get a Staghound III. This model saw combat late in the historical war and would still have been useful in 1947.
Lebanon didn't have the Mark III. They had the standard Staghound with 37mm (UK34).. A few were modified first with 2 pdr. and then with the turret of the AEC armoured car with 75mm.
