Thanks ftm2kleszics. I make the TM two-lane tiles with a Z-scale (1 inch wide) self-adhesive road product from a German model RR company.
I glue down a scored length of thin sheet styrene to the tile where the road fits. After applying a thin layer of putty to the rest of the tile for ground texture and to bring the ground level up to the edge of the styrene, I paint the ground base color. To complete it I put the road strip down onto the styrene, flock the ground areas using a brush to apply the glue right up to the road edge and, when dry, spray a coat of DullCoat over the entire tile, which helps protect the road surface and seal the flocking to the tile.
Please send me a private message if you want to know the brand of roads and the distributor from whom I purchase it.

Progress on my Baghdad Parade Grounds game boards
As the Labor Day weekend convention is sneaking up on me, I'm really turning up the heat on this project.
Tomorrow I'll start adding some of the vegetation to the north side of the board. Everything thing you see is "in progress", nothing is done yet.
Here is the latest progress

As always, larger images are available on my Micro Armor Blog, address below

Progress on the Baghdad Parade Grounds boards as of today Aug 15 2014
Well, the convention in Los Angeles is exactly 2 weeks away and I still have lots to do to finish these boards … so the sensible thing to do at this point was to add another row of three boards to each end of the setup.
Now the entire array will be 3 boards wide and 6 boards long (5′ x 12′)
Here are the three boards being added to the west end of the parade grounds.

Thanks a lot,,, it's truly a labor of love. I'm really having fun on this project. I love my job, I've spent the last 28 years making models for other people ... but every once in a while it's nice to make something for myselfcama wrote:Fantastic work as always Allen! Your boards are truly something to behold.

Hi Cama
Your layout looks great. What rules did you use to play the game? Do you have any other pictures showing the buildings and vehicles more close-up?
Keep up the good work.

Awesome work guys! Cama, I love your house basing
It's been quite some time since I've done any terrain work so I wanted to share a little. I'm working on some terrain tiles for naval gaming for my son and I. We use the simple Axis and Allies rules and we enjoy it quite a bit.
Let me know what you think (sorry for the poor coloring on the photos... I blame the dining room lighting). More photos on my site link.

That is great work on your seascape! Everything looks wonderful including the ships of course.
I have a couple of questions.
1. Did you use Terrain Maker for the hexes and if so, how did you get everything to line up perfectly?
2. What did you use to texture your hexes and also what paint and varnish did you use?
Bezmozgu
That is great work on your Terrain Maker layout. Having done a bit of this work myself, I know what it takes to do this.
I have a couple of questions for you.
1. What did you use for the railway embankment and tracks?
2. What brand of buildings did you use? They look to be mostly Timecast but did you use any other brands? What is the brand of flocking you use?
I have some Timecast buildings at home but most of the ones I have done are either GHQ, Architectural Heritage, Leva, and C in C. I have to get some more buildings done eventually.
Thanks guys for showing your work.

Pete,
These are not Terrain Maker, they are MDF laser cut hexes; technically its competition so I won't post the link.
The texture is the same material I use for my dirt roads: Golden Fine Pumice Gel.

Lastly, I used Delta Ceramcoat paint and Polyurethane Varnish (gloss) from Hobby Lobby.
Thanks for the kind words guys
